Last Week's Program: My first duty as President was to cancel the first meeting. I believe that was a success. I hope that everyone had an opportunity to take some time to enjoy family and friends and take in some Independence Day activities.
This Week's Program:
Jason Cardwell will be introducing our outgoing exchange students. Allison and Stephanie will also provide a short introduction on who they are and "why" they have chosen to be youth exchange students.
Then I will be presenting my 2015-2016 rotary year club goals along with asking everyone to help make the Plymouth Rotary Club as strong and fun as we can. Prior to me reviewing the goals I will be giving you a short vocational of who I am (many of you heard my vocational a few years ago, but I thought it would be good to give another one as we start this year). Then, I will present the 2015-2016 Board of Directors (also listed here):
Vice President/President Elect: Vacant (See request below)
Secretary/Club Administrator: Murray Death
Treasurer: Ron Lenz
Rotary Foundation: Bruce Behm
Public Relations: Rich Manthe
Service Projects: Jim Creena
Past President: Steve Beachler
My 2015-2016 goals will consist of strategic planning, financial, Heart Safe, annual fundraiser, increase our presence in the community, service projects, membership, and meeting dynamics.
Vice President/President Elect Request: Over the next several weeks I, along with the Board and Past Presidents, will be reaching out to a number of you to gauge your interest in becoming the Vice President/President Elect. Please spend some time thinking about the possibility and contact me if you have questions and interest. With the quality and experience of the current board and the number of engaged past presidents, there is no time like this year to start your Rotary leadership.
Heart Safe Plymouth: We have trained 2,851 people and counting!
ClubRunner Member Profiles:
Preview your member profile on the ClubRunner website for accuracy and update any missing data. Contact President Steve Juetten or the Secretary/Club Administrator Murray Death with any questions you may have. To assist, Dwain Erickson and Diane Moyer can shoot smart phone photographs of members whose photos are missing in the Club Membership roster. Is your photo missing??
Incoming Youth Exchange News:
The first Host Family for our inbound student Guan-Yu Chen coming this August from Taiwan has been secured. Jason Cardwell and Jill Kohler are still seeking two more host families to accommodate his year with us. Youth Exchange Officer Jason reports our incoming student is fluent in English. Jason and Jill have been extremely effective and instrumental in managing our Youth Exchange program for the Club. Thanks to them for their service! And please circulate this hosting opportunity to your friends and families in the Wayzata School District. Anyone who has hosted in the past can relate what a wonderful experience it can be. It would be wonderful if a Plymouth Rotarian would step up to host!

Riddles
Many have heard me, but nobody has seen me, and I will not speak back until spoken to. Who am I?
A word I know, six letters it contains, remove one letter, and twelve remains. What am I?
What question can you never answer yes too?
