This Week's Program:

We DO NOT have a weekly lunch meeting this week.
This Past Week, August 18, 2016:

Senator Terri Bonoff (DFL) District 44 was our guest speaker.  Senator Bonoff discussed the Minnesota PIPELINE project, which connects students and businesses through an innovative program to simultaneously address student debt and the skills gap.

Fall Fundraiser

We are fast approaching our Fall fundraiser and are in need of donations for small prizes.  In general, we want $25 minimum value prizes that are easily deliverable (mainly gift cards). So far we have 32 prizes and we are in need of at least 50. To procure a prize, you can:

1.           - Ask an area business to donate one.

2.       - Tell an area business you’ll buy a gift card if they donate one.

3.       - Buy a gift card yourself and donate it.

Pl   Please coordinate with Sharon Sund at srsund@gmail.com.

Heart Safe Plymouth:

We have trained 3,363 People and counting!

We are approaching the 50% mark of the goal of training 10% of the population of Plymouth, or 7,000 people. Please consider volunteering at a training event.  Contact Norm Okerstrom or Russ Carlson to find out when they are training next.

2016 - 2017 Rotary Year:

As of July 1, the 2016-17 Rotary year has begun.   The Rotary International theme for the year is "ROTARY SERVING HUMANITY" and the Rotary International President is John Germ.  For the Plymouth Rotary Club, positions for the year are as follows:  Pat Knight as President,  Jason Cardwell as President Elect, Bala Guntipalli as Public Relations, Peter Bartling as Secretary, Jim Bird as Treasurer, Bruce Behm as Foundation and Jeff Wosje (with Jim Crenna's assistance) as Service.  A change for this year will be that Bala will be Jason's President Elect.

Annual Giving:

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT GAVE!

The final push for annual giving to the RI Annual Fund, RI Polio Plus, Safe Water and the Plymouth Rotary Foundation has come to an end.  Thank you for all that gave.  We will get final numbers and publish in weeks to come.

General Information:

Club Website:  Please take the time to visit the club website.  We have now been using the Club Runner website format for a number of months.  Jason Cardwell, our President Elect, has updated the website to reflect this week's and next week's speakers.  It is important for everyone to spend some time on the site and let Bala Guntapali and me know what information is missing and what information should be updated.  www.RotaryPlymouth.org

Quarterly Invoices:  Please pay quarterly invoices promptly.  The Board continues to work with members that have outstanding balances.

ClubRunner Member Profiles:  Preview your member profile on the ClubRunner website for accuracy and update any missing data. Contact President Pat Knight with any questions you may have.  To assist, Dwain Erickson and Diane Moyer can shoot smart phone photographs of members whose photos are missing in the Club Membership roster. Is your photo missing??

Amazon Purchases:  Please remember to select RCOP Foundation when you make  on-line purchases at Amazon.Smile.   The Rotary Club of Plymouth Foundation is registered with Amazon and may be chosen when you make purchases through Amazon.Smile. Amazon will donate .05% of your total purchase to RCOP Foundation.  The AmazonSmile web site provides all the same products as the regular site, but in addition allows you to designate a charity which Amazon will support. Please tell your friends and associates who shop through Amazon Smile!  The contribution comes out of Amazon's pocket - not yours!  Click here to get started:http://smile.amazon.com/ch/26-3054927  You Shop/ Amazon Gives!
