
The Event
Ducks on Parade is the annual fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Plymouth. On Saturday, October 4, 2008, as part of the Plymouth on Parade festivities, the club hosted the 8th Annual Ducks on Parade Event. The event, featuring a rubber duck race, is held nnually by the Hilde Performance Center behind the Plymouth City Offices in Plymouth, Minnesota. The 9th Annual Ducks on Parade will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at approximately 2:45PM following Plymouth on Parade.
Interested individuals may adopt a duck for as little as $10.00 or 3 ducks for $25.00, 7 ducks for $50.00 or a flock of 15 ducks for $100.00. Click on our Prize Section when it appears to see the many cash, merchandise and event prizes for the 009 winners and check out the 2008 winners!
5,000 rubber ducks are let loose in the pond and forced by fire hoses to the finish line "prize trap." The ducks are labeled with numbers matching those on the adoption certificates. Prizes are awarded in the order listed in the 2008 Adoption Papers; the first duck across the finish line may be eligible to win a 2008 Nissan Titan Crew-Cab Truck; the second duck may be eligible to win a 2008 22 foot Chaparral SSi Boat! There are at least 95 additional prizes that are awarded in order of the finish of each subsequent duck until all of the prizes are awarded. Please read the Official Rules.
