New Rotary year starts July 1:

The 2019-2020 year is very quickly going to come to an end in a way that none of us could have ever imagined.  That will bring the 2020-2021 year and a lot of hope for a great year.  Our incoming president, Mary, has the energy and heart to continue the Plymouth Rotary as the great service organization it is.  However, she needs help!!!  She needs members to step up and be part of her Board of Directors.  Please reach out to Mary if you have questions and interest.

Brewfest sponsors.  Many of you have received commitments from businesses to sponsor the 2020 Brewfest.  As you know, it has been decided to not have the Brewfest in 2020.  However, we have received sponsorship dollars from many businesses and many have stated that they would like the Club to keep the money.  However, we have not received an answer from some of the sponsors that we have received funds from.  If you have not had the opportunity to reach out to the business that you contacted and we received money from, please take the time to do so in the near future.  Please contact Jim Crenna if you have questions.

The difficult decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Brew Fest.  2021 will be bigger and better!

Heart Safe Plymouth:

Plymouth Heart Safe and Rotarians, Norm Okerstrom and Russ Carlson were awarded the "Chiefs Award" at the annual Plymouth Police event on Thursday, March 5th.  Both Norm and Russ have been instrumental in the success of Plymouth Heart Safe with more than 6,300 individuals having been trained in life-saving CPR and AED.  "I am gratified to know that the effort we are making is appreciated by Mike Goldstein and the City of Plymouth", says Carlson.

We have trained 6,230 people and counting!
Russ, Norm, Don and team continue to train and impact the local community.

Linked to this is a story about Hands Only CPR performed by a daughter to her mom recently in MPLS.  Also note, dispatch assisted w telephone CPR..very cool!

Rotary International Membership Chair Video:

On March 6, 2020, the listed Rotary International club Membership Chairs held a video conference on membership. We recorded the webinar and a link sent to all the Membership Chairs which could not attend. I hope you or your club had an opportunity to review the material. The one-hour video not only contains an update of our membership numbers and our lead program, but also in their own words how the top four clubs increase their membership in only a few months. The membership chairs also received templates of club documents and outlines of different membership models used by these top clubs. The information provided in the video and documents will lead your club to a successful membership campaign if you put it into action.  Let’s end the year with a bang.

Please review this link and ask your Membership Chairs about the documents.
